The Seattle Times reported police did not respond to Another shooting victim in CHAZ CHOP because of the mob’s report:
…Alex Bennett, a former nurse, said that she had been walking her dog with a buddy when she came across the next prey on the hood of a vehicle, bleeding from a wound on his arm.
Bennett stated she used her sweatshirt for a tourniquet to attempt and stanch the bleeding and then asked someone to call 911. Bennett said they found another wound and examined the man, when a volunteer CHOP medic came with a first aid kit.
The guy’s skin was turning clammy and his breathing was shallow, so she stated, and when it became apparent an ambulance wasn’t coming — or wouldn’t be there quickly enough — she and others pushed him into a van and raced to Harborview, coming at 3:06 a.m., in which a medical group was waiting outside. He stayed in the hospital, with all accidents, Saturday evening, according to police.
Bennett said she had been challenged by a police officerwho she said”told me when they reacted to the very first victim they had been chased out of there, which explains the reason why they didn’t come for the next one.”
