President Biden Visits Long Beach to Rally Against California Gubernatorial Recall

President Joe Biden arrived at Long Beach Airport the evening of Sept. 13 in his long-awaited trip to California in order to campaign with Gov. Gavin Newsom prior to tomorrow’s recall election. The president pulled up on the airport tarmac at approximately 6:10 p.m. in Air Force 1, where both he and Newsom exited the plane to head over to the event in the presidential motorcade. The pair waved but did not take any questions from the nearby media, heading straight to the campaign event at Long Beach City College. Both Biden and Newsom had come straight from Sacramento for another recall campaign event. Arriving at the campaign event, the presidential motorcade was met with protestors outside of the college, who booed the pair and were waving American flags, video shows.
