A police station was allegedly uttered by A 26-year-old guy in downtown Paso Robles overnight on Wednesday morning.
Another man was discovered nearby shot in the face area.
Mason James Lira allegedly fled after ambushing the police station, north.
One officer was shot in the face from the attack.

A man in his late 40s was found fatally shot in downtown Paso Robles during a common search for a gunman who opened fire and wounded a deputy early Wednesday.
The body was found at streets near the Amtrak station. Was shot in the head at close variety, said Tony Cipollaa spokesman for the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities think the homicide is connected to a early morning shooting which prompted a law enforcement response in the Caribbean region, Cipolla said.

…The gunman, who fled the region, was known as Mason James Lira, 26, also a departure in the Monterey region of the Central Coast, according to the Associated Press. Surveillance camera photographs from a downtown hotel and an ale home were published of this suspect. It was not clear whether the shot was struck.
