Dean of Students at Stanford University Approvingly Quotes CopKiller in Email to Student Body

The Dean of Students at Stanford University delivered an email to the student body in which she quoted Assata Shakur.

In an email sent to students on June 1, obtained by College Repair, Dean Mona Hicks started by composing”as demonstration organizers across the planet plan non-violent demonstrations, we have to also recognize that the despair and pain which are thrust into these spaces. Despite efforts to arrange civilly, there are times when a few will participate in behavior. In every scenario, the well-being of our students is the top priority.”
She also discussed how students can demonstration while also keeping in mind that there’s now still a sin in the nation.


Things took a turn but when she quoted Shakur.
“I appreciate all of the emails and texts of solidarity and encouragement that I have received in my brief tenure at Stanford. As a Black woman, I am fighting to make meaning in our world today, however your humankind gives me confidence — your goal, your education, your own truth, and your power. This loving refrain from Assata Shakur still rings true since I shelter-in-place:’It’s our duty. It’s our duty to acquire. We have to love and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains. ”’

“We are totally disgusted the Stanford Dean of Students, Mona Hicks, hailed and lent cop-killer and national terrorist, Assata Shakur, within an email to the student body . Hicks comprised what she described as’a loving refrai’ in the murderer Shakur. For Hicks endorse and to praise a cop-killer at a time when Americans are terrorizing within their companies, homes and vehicles is unacceptable and unbecoming of anybody in a place of authority at Stanford University. We condemn Mona Hicks in the strongest conditions and demand that she apologize promptly.”
Shakur was killed country trooper Jaibes Harper after being pulled over on May 2, 1973 and a member of the Black Liberation Army.
“While the lawmen conducted regular questioning of their vehicle’s occupants, Shakur (who was at the front passenger’s seat) and her partners unexpectedly fired upon them with semi-automatic pistols. The trooper was taken by Shakur two prior to her gun jammed as Foerster grappled with the driver. Shakur sentenced to life plus 33 decades and was found guilty of first-degree murder plus seven felonies, but escaped from prison.

She resides at Cuba where she was granted asylum in the 1980s, although There’s a $ 2,000,000 reward for information leading to her arrest.
