Chicago Mayor Now Pleading With Walmart And Other Companies Not To Leave The City

After the riots which found large stores looted, some retailers have second thoughts about staying in towns.
Back in Chicago, Mayor Lori Lightfoot was speaking to such retailers and requesting them not to leave the city.
Not only do these companies make it possible for individuals to acquire the things they need, they cover a great deal of taxes that the city is based on.

Mayor Lightfoot said she’s hopeful the Chicago stores that were looted or otherwise damaged during protests surrounding George Floyd’s killing will be reopened by big retailers. However, she’s unsure of one of the greatest.
Mayor Lightfoot said she had been on a conference call with Walmart and other big retailers who had stores looted or damaged during the unrest in Chicago. She said she pleaded with them never to abandon Chicago.
“I believe in the event of Walmart, what they were concentrated on was analyzing the damage.

If they leave the towns, who can blame these firms?
